Little League World Series Championship Game

Right from the very start of the 2009 Little League World Series, baseball fans had high hopes of the Chula Vista, California Little League team bringing it home they definitely did do that.

More than 30,000 people gathered in Williamsport to watch the final, which saw the Park View Little League team from Chula Vista, California, take on a team from China. And it was the Chula Vista boys that came out as the champions.

They have now become the first team from San Diego County, to have won the Little League Worl Series in over 40 years. They weren’t exactly looking their usual selves to start off with, but they soon picked up and that was it.

In the bottom of the fourth, Chula Vista got a little closer to make it a 3-2 score. And by the fifth inning, the crowds were chanting “P-V-L-L.” Rios came up to bat and hit a line drive to the left, giving Chula Vista another run.

Chula Vista wins 6-3.
